Dr. Mary Battista, DVM with dogDr. Mary Battista grew up in Winchester, CT. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University prior to graduating from Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. During the first part of her career, Dr. Battista enjoyed mixed animal practice, but since 2003 she has been fully committed to small animal medicine and surgery exclusively.

She is a member of the Connecticut Veterinary Medicine Association (CVMA), the American Veterinary Medicine Association (AVMA), and the Litchfield County Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Spurza grew up in Syracuse, NY, and currently resides in East Granby, CT. She received an undergraduate Zoology degree from SUNY Oswego, NY, and earned her DVM degree from St. George’s University of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Spurza attended a rotating internship in CA. There she worked with specialists in the fields of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, and Oncology. Prior to joining the Winsted Hospital for Animals team, she practiced small animal medicine in NJ and MD.

Outside of work, Dr. Spurza enjoys hiking, traveling, and board games. She also shares her home with Copper, a dauschund, a cat named Gremmlyn, and a variety of fish.

Dr. Beth Donoghue grew up and currently resides in Farmington, Connecticut. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont and earned a BVSc degree from Massey University in New Zealand. Her special interests include dentistry and dermatology.

In her spare time, Dr. Donoghue enjoys hiking, gardening, and cross-stitching.
